Barlow School Dining Hall; Amenia, NY-
Design for a new Dining Hall to seat 200 students and faculty for this small, private boarding school in this Upper New York state town. Bethany Alcohol Abuse Treatment Center; Bethany, PA- Design of a prototype dormitory building for a rural treatment center in this small town in Pennsylvania. (Design consultant for David Lewis Associates). Biodiesel Greenhouse; Hawthorne Valley Biodynamic Farm, Harlemville, NY - A design for an alteration to an existing greenhouse to create a facility to manufacture biodiesel. Cafe, Coffeehouse, Meeting space; Hawthorne Valley Biodynamic Farm, Harlemville, NY - A design to convert the old farmstore into a cafe, coffeehouse for the valley school and farm. Center of the Light; Dormitory/Teaching Facility: New Marlboro, MA- A new building to house teaching and sleeping functions on this 85 Acre campus in the Berkshires. The facility was planned to include ten dormitory rooms, a lounge, chapel, and lecture/teaching hall to accommodate up to 150 people. Community Center of the Southern Berkshires; Great Barrington, MA- Developed this proposal from a needs assessment study. It was presented to various community groups. Developed preliminary design drawings, cost estimates for a new complex of buildings to be done on a sixteen acre site in the center of Great Barrington. The complex features a competition swimming pool, a therapy/toddler pool, a gymnasium, skating rink, restaurant, music school, various arts and crafts rooms and athletic activity areas. Corlears School Library; NYC- Restructuring plan for the Library layout of this small, private Chelsea school. Free Movies Inc., NYC- Design for a portable, outdoor movie "theater environment”, that features a portable projection system within a panel truck along with a collapsible screen. For Signet Productions, NYC.

"Grass & Steel" Multimedia Slide Show- Photographed, directed and produced a slide film on the pros and cons of various planning configurations and densities of the Living Environment. For distribution by the AIA. Funded by a NY State Council on the Arts grant. Produced for the American Institute of Architects: Worked with the AIA Environmental Education Committee: Bernard Spring, Dean of the School of Architecture, CCNY; Sigmund Grava, Planning Department, Columbia University; Barry Benepe, Planner. Harlan Elementary School; Harlan, Kentucky- A new Elementary School building serving the first through sixth grades. With associate architect William Richardson. Hawthorne Valley High School Gymnasium; Harlemville, NY- Cost and design study for a portable inflated structure to serve as a temporary gymnasium pending completion of the permanent structure. Housatonic Mills Redevelopment Proposal, Housatonic, MA- Designed a multi-use proposal for three existing 150 year old mill buildings and two additional residential buildings on the vacant site to the North. A central Piazza to create a new focus for the entire village of Housatonic, Artist Housing, Museums, Galleries, and other commercial functions and a Marketplace Plaza would all be supported by an improved mass transit system. These functions would all help to create the environment for this arts based redevelopment.  Knott County Human Resources Center; Hindman, Ky- A new Community Center building to provide recreational facilities for the area's elderly and young people. With associate architect William Richardson. Masterplan Document for the Hawthorne Valley Biodynamic Farm and Waldorf School, Harlemville, NY - A written proposal for a Masterplan for the entire village of Harlemville, which includes the Biodynamic Farm, the Waldorf School, the Visiting Students Program and the farmscape Ecology Program all located in the Harlemville Valley.

Mount Hope Community Masterplan; Middletown, NY- Master plan for an alternate lifestyle, new age community to be built in a rural setting. Plan includes teaching, dining and residential facilities that feature passive and active solar designs. Plans for the first structures to be built include a main house and a rental residence with passive design and active solar heating. Movies in the Park; New York City- Design and build an outdoor portable, collapsible movie theater environment for the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Signet Productions, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and funded by Miller Beer. The “theater” environment could be set up in 30 minutes by a crew of three. Free experimental films were shown in various city parks in the five boroughs for five summers. The first year of the program, NYU film student Martin Scorcese chose the films to be shown. Museum-Housing Complex Proposal; Welfare Island, NYC- Drawing of an alternative proposal for housing the Temple of Dendur (given to the Metropolitan Museum of Art by the Egyptian government). Sponsored by the Central Park Conservancy and the Friends of Central Park to protest the expansion of the Metropolitan Museum of Art into the park, where the temple was planned to be installed and to publicize alternatives. New York Philharmonic Gift Shop Proposal; Lincoln Center, NYC- Design for a portable gift shop for the lobby area of Fisher Hall, to benefit the NYC Symphony Orchestra.

New York State Bicentennial Celebration Master plan; Sampson State Park, Lake Seneca, NY- A master plan proposal done for the Bicentennial Committee of the New York State Council on the Arts. A celebration and "fair" using portable structures to be held on 1800 acres of an upper New York State park with a large lake. Omar Lerman, was the Director of Planning. North Gateway Master Plan Study; MSAA; Great Barrington, MA- Preliminary Planning study for the Northern "entrance" area of route 7 into Great Barrington. Commissioned by the Main Street Action Association and done in association with Craig Okestrom-Lang. O'Conner School Roof Playground; Brooklyn, NY- Design for a roof playground and activity center for this parochial elementary school. "Portable City"; Lower East Side, NYC- A master plan for neighborhood revitalization using vacant land in the blighted Lower East Side. Using portable structures built by workshops organized for that purpose, the plan sought to establish a temporary community on abandoned city land by these neighborhood groups. The workshops that built the temporary structures would remain a part of the Lower East Side neighborhood after the show closes. The Proposal was included in an exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts show entitled "Portable World".

Prefabricated Housing/Regional Planning Study; Architectural League of NY- Funded by the Architectural League of New York’ and awarded the organization's Brunner Award. Study was to design prefabrication techniques that could be applied to multiple dwelling housing complexes that could “plug” into a series of village node developments planned along the Northeast rail and highway corridors. A planned alternative to the anticipated spread of suburbia into a vast “Megalopolis” stretching from Boston to Washington D.C. Rip Van Winkle Center Activity Room; Columbia County Society for Mental Health; Hudson, NY- Alteration within existing center buildings to create a large activity room for the Center's programs. "Sail Project" for the 88 Pine Street Lobby; NYC- A proposal requested by Creative Time to create an exhibit (to be funded by the New York State Council on the Arts), entitled “Sail”, to fill the lobby space of this lower Manhattan office building. The plan called for a sculptural treatment of the immense lobby space using sails.

Schumacher Society Library; S. Egremont, MA- New stacks and study area for the lower level of the Library building. South County Music School; Great Barrington. MA- Founded by John Fülöp Associates together with Hilda Banks Shapiro, a new music school opened in October 1995 and offered classes, workshops and individual instruction to over 600 children and adults form five years. Support Services Headquarters Building; Rikers Island, NY- A new building to house administrative offices on this island prison for the NYC Department of Correction. Wainwright House Conference Center Master Plan; Rye, NY- A Master plan proposal for this U.N. connected non sectarian Adult Education and Conference Center located on an elegant estate on L.I. Sound (Reverend Skip Vilas, Executive Director). Welfare Island Museum-Housing Complex; (later renamed Roosevelt Island), NYC- Design proposal prepared for the Friends of Central Park to publicize alternatives to the proposed addition to the Metropolitan Museum of Art that would house a gift from the Egyptian government, the Temple of Dendur. Wunch Arts Center; Oyster Bay, NY- A proposed plan for an Arts Center in this suburban Long Island Community. For Richard Slote at Signet Productions in NYC.
